Massages
Ayurveda offers two varities of massage based on Tridosha theory, Abhyanga (downward massage with oil) and Udwarthana (upward massage). Abhyanga, comprised of effleurage, petrissage and tapotement which increases skin complexion, relieves blockage in nerves and muscle pain, relaxes muscle, increases blood circulation, and promotes the strength of the body.
Udwarthana, comprised of tearing, ploughing and rubbing which stimulates venous circulation, relieves muscular hardness, stimulates the sweat gland and sebaccous glands thus promoting a lightness of the entire body. Eden Garden offers special varities of oil massage developed by a combination of Ayurvedic massage and martial art (Kalari). Massages cover the whole body from head to toe. While doing oil massage, head massage must be done first since oil on the head can prevent the countereffect of heat coming up towards the head from the body.
This massage stimulates and stengthens the Marma Points, the vital energie vortexes and leads to an enlivened and enriched physiology, promoting deep relaxation and rejuvenation.Eden Garden offers special varities of oil massage developed by a combination of Ayurvedic massage and martial art (Kalari).
